Nicholas Koenig brings over 20 years of production design experience from all aspects of the entertainment industries to Soulware. Mr. Koenigs background is as an award winning creative director and production designer. He has designed and directed products, installations and attractions for every sector of todays converging entertainment market. Most recently with Silicon Gaming Inc. (1995-2000), Mr. Koenig served as Chief Creative Officer. His responsibilities included writing branding, positioning and design documents and providing cross-media solutions to support Silicons progressive technology market position. He directed Las Vegass largest convergence design project to date: a 12 million-dollar themed slots installation at the MGM Grand. His responsibilities included designing for all aspects of production including industrial design and electronic / mechanical production prototypes for slot machines and signage components, digital game assets, video animations, high resolution graphics, live action shoots, and props and model construction. He managed the internal game development staff, creating game teams, delegating workloads and awarding and overseeing production contracts. He created an R&D effort and managed its' agenda and pitches. The game development department serviced and customized Silicons 32 game content library. In 2000 Mr. Koenig was the principal designer of the Internet gaming portal identity Wagerworks for Silicon Gaming. The spin-off site was created as a casino web portal to leverage Silicons game content onto the Internet. The site was underwritten by the MGM / Mirage group as their official online gaming offering leveraging over $8 Billion in brick and mortar brand name properties into an official virtual strip portal identity. As with the gaming industry, Nicholas Koenig has a comprehensive approach as a leading designer and director of content development and delivery. He has designed smart toys for Zowie Intertainment (1999), Emmy winning Virtual network hosts FOR ZDTV (1996-99), theme park attractions for (MCA Universal and Matsuchita (1989 & 93), CD ROM games for (Henson Interactive (2000), Activision (1994 )and Hasbro (1992), TV segments for Nickelodeon (1990-93), and broadcast show opens for Disney, CBS, NBC (1988-94) among others. The Soulware Kernel and cross device play features are direct outgrowths of Mr. Koenigs design experience across these entertainment business sectors and the emergent requirements for diverse secure personalized user experiences. |
